Eros + Massacre - Behind the aesthetic form lies the repressed harmony of sensuousness and reason

“I don’t want fall in love with a poisoned cliche,
i see myself in your acts,
i see myself in your smile,
i see myself in your first breath”
(“Disjointed Volitions”)

Eros + Massacre – Awwwwwwesome.

Eros + Massacre is a new band hailing from Madrid with members of ¡Silencio, Ahora, Silencio!. Such a vigorous and heavy 5 minute long record with an beautiful album artwork/photography. The perfect symbiosis of old-style screamo bands like Song of Zarathustra, Violent Breakfast or Louise Cyphre and modern blackened hardcore bands (with a bit of a black metal edge in the drumming…maybe hmm…Hexis, Deafheaven and stuff). Very very fast, raw, harsh and straight forward but yet melodic and really infectious. They’ve found a great way to combine all their influences to create a seamless and vicious ponderous sound. “Chaos never died” is one of my favourite tracks as its name implies this song is just chaotic as hell. Utterly heart-wrecking and awesome. So good.

Very intense stuff although the whole play-time is only around 5 minutes. Hope they’re going to release a split or full-length, would be super-cool.

Kissing is a crime, pleasure is dangerous, as emotions expired her name never was forgotten,
When you think make a prisoner, art is your last weapon.
(“Chaos Never Died”)
