Ken Burns – Yeees.
No bandcamp. No soundcloud. No facebook. No mysp…oh forget that. Just a 4-song tape and a mail-address. It’s hard to collect any information about Ken Burns. What I know is that they are a new amazing screamo outfit hailing from Boston with members of Houston We Have a Problem, Who Goes There?, Sneeze, Apart and ex-The Saddest Landscape. Which seems to be a rad mix.
And yep, it is. Haven’t enjoyed a skramz demo as heavily as this one in weeks.
Their very first s/t demo starts with “finita la comedia” and a cool bass-intro which hits you right in the middle of your heart. The whole demo impresses with its crushing vocals, vibrant/moving soundwalls and great (blast-) drums. Best ingredients for an upcoming highlight in the “scene” (man I hate that word).
Definitely worth a listen if you like Yaphet Kotto, Raein, La Quiete, Suis La Lune…
