“En la noche yo seguí
alimentando el fuego
que ahora guía a mis pies
en la ausencia de la aurora.Madre exiliada
que lloras por nuestra sombra,
padre que esperas
la muerte de este divorcio:Nuestra obstrucción
cautivó al cielo
con la constelación
de ídolos muertos.”
Some Recommendations – Short overview of a few highlights.
Sorry for the lack of posts. I’m currently a bit busy setting up the first 2-Day Miss The Stars Fest.
Super-excited and I can’t wait for may. June Paik, Hexis, Viva Belgrado and a lot more bands are playing.

La Parade – Voces del Exilio
“Voces del Exilio” is the debut LP of an amazing 4-piece screamo/post-hardcore outfit from spain called La Parade. Well at first and foremost I have to say that Serjio sings and screams way too good. Impressive, really really impressive. For me he’s actually one of the best in the screamo genre. The soundscape of “Voces del Exilio” is impulsive, melodic, very diversified (playful guitars) and yet sometimes soft. Try to mix Envy or Sed Non Satiata with Kyo from france plus a bit Protest the Hero and you’ll get a small idea of La Parade’s awesomness. A massive and unbelievable catchy hybrid.
Songs like “Lo Que Fui, Lo Que Soy” and “Descarne” are hits. Covered in poetic lyrics which remind of the old screamo-style and bands like Escapado, only in spanish.
The entire album flows beautifully through all 10 tracks. Hopefully “Voces del Exilio” will be their little breakthrough in the scene. Wish them all the best. Oh… and the cover-artwork is also rad as hell.
“Diez mil rostros cubren mi piel.
Van de mil maneras a ti
deslizándose
al reflejo de mi voz
con su ebria sed
de tus mares negros.
¿Qué puede mostrar
mi imagen sin tu luz?
No sé verte allí
donde yo te hallaba siempre.”
Get your copy at the Zegema Beach Records Distro Shop or Maniyax. (great labels by the way)
Bummer – Steal the Nights
“Steal the Nights” is a somehow unique sounding EP for the blog. Well Bummer caught my intention some weeks month ago with their song “A Flame & A Breeze”. Haven’t heard a great post-punk song like this since Motorama’s “One Moment”. I mean…that intro…wow. His voice, the driving guitars, just everything about this 3-Song Ep is pure gold. Dancing and partying all night long on the camping ground of festivals just like on the album-artwork. Highly recommended.
SiFulan – Demo 2013
SiFulan is an awesome upcoming 4-piece post-hardcore/skramz band from Singapore formed in July 2013. Whoooa Singapore can’t do no wrong. The could be the new Comadre in some years. (“Pictures Of Sanctuary”) Great stuff. Hope they keep it up.
Human Cull – The Persecuting Society
yeeeeeeeees
Dying Sun – Transcendence
Dying Sun are hailing from Maryland. They play atmospheric black-doom-metal at its best. This album is spinning on repeat and left me kinda speechless.
Highly recommended.
