The Winter Passing - Scrapbook

“I still have your picture hanging
in my room to remind myself of your bright blue eyes
but some things come too late and we’ve been through
this before, just please don’t tell me I’m walking home alone.
I still remember my fathers words that night when he said
‘Son, no matter where you go in life,
this will always be your home’”

The Winter Passing – Yipppiiie.

After falling in love with the newest releases by Moose Blood and Tiny Moving Parts, I also quite accidentally discovered this super-good 5 piece emo/indie/pop-punk band from Ireland. “Scrapbook” is the most catchiest stuff I heard in a while, absolutely affecting, sweet and a little package full of emotions. Love the interaction between the two vocalists, works pretty good.

It immediately reminisce me of the time when 1997 released their “Since My House Burned Down I Now Own A Better View Of The Rising Moon”, which I dig very much. This 90′s influenced emo tunes flavoured with modern pop-punk like Driveway and Tigers Jaw sounds just awesome.

Can’t get “Crooks” out of my head, what a brilliant moving song. As well as the first single called “Gold Blend PT. 1″. Waiting for a “Emo is a gang” – Tour across germany with all the other great new upcoming bands. Oh and full-length would also be rad.

Well…I found my spring/summer soundtrack haha. Woohooo.

Hope you’ll like them too.

stay rad.
